The demand for attribution assumes that recognition is scarce. That if your idea spreads without your name on it you have lost something. But an idea that spreads is an idea that worked. Someone used it. Someone's problem got solved. The idea did not diminish when they used it. You still have it. They have it now too. The only thing that was lost was the accounting of who deserves what, and that accounting was always a fiction. Treating it as real is the same mistake as treating paper as wealth.
